Thomas Struck, responsible for the “Culinary Cinema” section of the Berlin Festival, Joxe Mari Aizega, director of the Basque Culinary Center and José Luis Rebordinos, director of the San Sebastián Festival, are the ones who have announced the programming of the new edition of Culinary Zinema, reporting on news, such as the new collaboration with the Tokyo Gohan Film Festival, a contest that was born four years ago with the aim of creating a concept that allows you to experience a meal with all five senses while enjoying good cinema and good food. music.
The director of the Tokyo Gohan Film Festival, Naoki Kai, is pleased with the collaboration with which he expects an enrichment of reciprocal culinary culture, bringing the best films on this theme to Japan, among other things. This collaboration also contemplates that a jury chosen by the Tokyo Gohan Film Festival rate Culinary Zinema movies and award a prize of no less than 10.000 euros.
The film and gastronomy festival program includes seven feature films and four short films that will be screened from September 20 to 26, and as in previous editions, the screening of the films will be accompanied by themed dinners prepared by renowned chefs in the restaurants Mirador de Ulía, Ni Neu, Tenis Ondarreta and in the Basque Culinary Center.
