Lately I have seen that the technologies that I saw in Japan a couple of years ago, and that little by little will become part of our day to day. Today I wanted to talk about the use of tablets as menu in the restaurants.
A company called Conceptic, has created the concept interactive menu through an iPad. It is an innovative way to order dishes by clicking, to know the Prices, have several languages available, see the calories of the dishes, the ingredients that carry the information on how to kitchen, see them pictures (since food often enters our eyes), you can enlarge the letter or the photographs, you can notify the waiters or sommeliers, ask for the bill ...
For companies, these are high costs for the introduction, but it represents an advance for customers, a tailor-made menu (even depending on whether they only want to eat fewer calories or spend less). But above all, it supposes an efficiency and reduction of labor and personnel costs since the orders made go directly to the kitchen.
When I talked about Japan, what I saw was not a tablet for each table, it was a machine or tablet at the entrance of the restaurant where you chose the food, you paid and you got a ticket. You gave this ticket to the manager or to the cook directly (yes, yes, to the cook. This is like that there) and you sat until it was delivered to you. He was very efficient. And all very rich. I suppose that technologies are adapting and improving to all services.
